The goal of the Northport Social Studies Department is to prepare our students to become aware of our interdependent world and to become active participants in our democratic society. As our students graduate, regardless of the specific Social Studies courses taken, we are confident that they will be well prepared for their future.  We send them out into the world as representatives of Northport participating as active citizens and pursuing a lifelong love of learning.
