From our Mission Statement:
The mission of the Library Media Centers is to support the body of knowledge that all students are expected to have as stated in the New York Standards. Education involves the ability to access, evaluate and creatively use information from various sources and formats. Our program strives to design learning strategies that incorporate literacy skills. The Library Media Center Program provides students and staff with materials that are current and relevant, that stimulate intellectual growth and that develop critical thinking skills.
